We have you confirmed on a shore-launched kayak tour. This tour does not utilize our transport boats. We will launch the kayaks from and return to the same location.
The tour will last approximately 2 hours from departure to return. However, please remember that these tours are not your typical regimented tours, so, if you do have a time constraint, be sure to let us know. Please try to be 10 minutes early at the meet location so that we may leave on time.
You will need to bring your personal items and whatever you wish to eat and drink. Please bring at least one liter of water, as hydration is very important. A small "six pack" cooler with a frozen water bottle is great for your drinks and snacks. We suggest bringing hats, polarized sunglasses, jackets/rain gear (appropriate for the day's weather condition in a kayak) and a flashlight. Very important also is good protective footwear that strap to your feet. These may get wet or even muddy getting in and out of the kayaks. (Flip-flop type sandals are not the best) Bug spray is sometimes a good idea if it is warm.
We will be paddling tandem kayaks on the evening tours. The single kayaks are for odd numbers of guests
You will also need to complete a Kayak Rental Release Form (PDF) for each guest. If you can please download and completed the form ahead of time, it will save some time at the dock. You can download it at this link.
Also, please take a moment to read the frequently asked questions at this link. Of course, if you need further info, or have special needs, please give us a call. Frequently Ask Questions ...
